My Jungbub Journal – Seventy Second Day of Dong-ahn-guh (winter meditation retreat)
It’s not judgment
———–
Our friend couple (D & A) invited us for dinner. Also, another friend (J) drove all the way to Kekaha from Kapaa to join the dinner.
It was a good gathering. We enjoyed healthy food. I always love their choice of wine.
Interestingly, we all moved to the island at the same time. About three years ago. We’re from Arizona. D&A from Texas and J from California.
Naturally, we talked about the difficulties that we face as living here. Housing problem, traffic issues, and cultural difference.
Mary has her opinion about the State’s accounting system as CPA. I also shared my observation and experiences working with businesses/organizations.
After sharing my opinion, I asked myself, ‘is it judgment?’
I said, ‘no’. It’s not judgment. It’s my observation. I can use this observation to support my neighbor and society. Now, I know what they need, so will do my best to compensate it.
I prayed to the universe. I don’t judge or evaluate. Just I will do my best to support this island in my place.
“What should I do for my neighbor?”
“What should I do for society?”
