The most valuable lessons that I learned came from my own life. I believe each life is a unique textbook and the collection of our life’s stories is called a history.
Humanity learns the most valuable lessons from our history. Likewise, I learn the important lessons from my own life experiences. We learn from it and grow wise. So, before I make a plan for my next year, I reflect the previous year in order to acknowledge my lessons and growth.
Review your year with journal, calendar, social media or photo app.
First, to set references, I quickly review my journals. I summarize the most important keywords for each month. As I read those summaries, I can bring up the most important events or awakenings. When I have a chance later, I’m going to introduce my journaling method. It takes just about 5 minutes everyday.
If you don’t journal, don’t worry. There are many ways to review your year. If you use a calendar or scheduling book, you can review them month by month.
If you use Facebook or social media, you can scroll down your wall. If you take photos with your phone, you can scroll down your photo app. We usually take photos only when we believe it’s an important moment. So you will find out what you believed was important and your memories will come back. Please take enough time to review the year.
